The Auburn Public Schools District's Technology Department understands that our current health crisis is putting extreme pressure on teachers, parents and students to modify traditional learning systems to function online, and at home.  As a department we are committed to supporting our families and staff in this endeavor to the best of our abilities.  We are happy to work with our entire learning community to help get our students connected to the necessary learning applications required to complete their assigned activities.  Please note we are able to help troubleshoot district assigned applications, accounts and devices but we are unable to provide extensive support for personal devices and home networks.  We will do our best to help if we can but we are limited in our ability to support family owned technology.  We have created this support web page to provide as much information as possible to help you learn how to use these new applications and solve some common problems.  Please know that the Technology Department is available to provide support if necessary, and they can be reached by emailing it@auburn.k12.ma.us.  Due to distancing guidelines and in an abundance of safety we are not offering in person technical support at this time.  In the event that a specific piece of equipment needs to be addressed we will make arrangements for drop off and pickup of the device.

Google Apps Banner

Auburn students in grades 6-8 are provided with Google Apps for Education accounts so that they may access Gmail,  Google Drive, Google Classroom, Google Meet, and many other Google products.  Many of our staff are utilizing our student Google accounts to communicate,  create and share documents through Google Drive, hold online video meetings in Google Meet, and share class materials through Google Classroom.  It is a vital part of our technology foundation.

Auburn Google accounts follow the following pattern.

Username = First Initial + Last name + year of graduation + @auburn.k12.ma.us --   jdoe20@auburn.k12.ma.us for example

Password = First initial (capitalized) + last initial (not capitalized) + student ID # + !! -- Jd12345!! for example

Your student may need to access these Google Apps

Classlink Browser

Auburn students in grades K-8 use ClassLink as a single-sign on application launchpad for many critical programs.  ClassLink works by ensuring that once a student signs into ClassLink, they won't have to enter a username and password for the applications in the ClassLink dashboard.  Important district apps such as ThinkCentral, iReady, and Wonders are loaded in ClassLink and will not require another login when launched, making it quick and easy for students to access these applications.

ClassLink is accessed through the Auburn Public Schools ClassLink app that can be found in the Apple App store or by visiting launchpad.classlink.com/auburn

There are two options you can use to login to ClassLink.

QR Code login - Teachers can provide you with a QR code which you can scan to login to ClassLink

Username and Password - All students can login to ClassLink with a username and password.

Username = First Initial + Last name + year of graduation -- jdoe20 for example

Password = First initial (capitalized) + last initial (not capitalized) + student ID # + !! -- Jd12345!! for example

Once you are into ClassLink you should have access to several applications.  Please note that Google applications will require a password the first time you use the apps.  However, the username and password will be saved for all subsequent logins.
