Superintendent's Welcome

Welcome to the Auburn Public Schools! Located in the “heart” of Central Massachusetts, the town of Auburn borders the city of Worcester, and is a 35 minute car ride west of Boston. We are a bustling, upscale town with approximately 17,000 residents. The town enjoys access to the Massachusetts Turnpike, Interstates 290 and 395, and Routes 12 and 20. Residents of Auburn have access to a variety of shopping areas, medical facilities, repair shops, churches, and other amenities that make living in Auburn enjoyable and convenient. We also are fortunate to have top rated police, fire, and emergency management services for our residents.

The Auburn Public Schools is a progressive, 21st Century school system that enjoys overwhelming support from the Auburn community. We educate approximately 2,700 students and employ almost 300 faculty, staff, and administrators across 5 schools: Pakachoag Elementary School, Bryn Mawr Elementary School, Swanson Road Intermediate School, Auburn Middle School, and Auburn High School. Our School Committee, composed of 5 members, are terrific advocates for our faculty, staff, and students.

As a school community, we are dedicated to continuous improvement in our on-going quest for excellence. Guided by data and best practice, we continually make decisions that are in the best interests of our students. We believe all students should be educated in safe and respectful classrooms and buildings, while providing equitable opportunities for their unique learning needs. The core values of the Auburn Public Schools serve as the foundation upon which we seek to educate and prepare our students for the opportunities and challenges of a constantly changing world.
