AHS is a Unified Champion School and we are working to become a Unified Champion District. As noted on the website of the Special Olympics, Unified Champion Schools program is aimed at promoting social inclusion through intentionally planned and implemented activities affecting systems-wide change. With sports as the foundation, the three component model offers a unique combination of effective activities that equip young people with tools and training to create sports, classroom and school climates of acceptance.
Working together - school and home - we can educate our young students about the dangers of VAPING. Please read this helpful infographic to learn about e-cigarettes, also known at "vapes," the problems they present, common myths about their use and the FDA's efforts to curb their use among young people. Please speak with your children today about this important issue.
