A message to the members of the APS community regarding the Coronavirus
Auburn Middle School - Members of the Young Engineers Club had been working on "Engineering and Outbreak" since the beginning of the school year, before the coronavirus became an epidemic. The last activity they completed include creating a public service announcement to tell the public ways to be prepared. The club members created their information to include current events. Funding for the activities was provided through Donorschoose.org.

As noted on the website of the Special Olympics, Unified Champion Schools program is aimed at promoting social inclusion through intentionally planned and implemented activities affecting systems-wide change. With sports as the foundation, the three component model offers a unique combination of effective activities that equip young people with tools and training to create sports, classroom and school climates of acceptance.
