i-Ready Parent Letter

Dear Parent/Guardian:

It is hard to believe that the summer break has arrived.  This was a school year like no other, but as a community, we did the very best we could to support the growth and well being of our students.  While we want all of our students to have a restful and fun-filled summer vacation, we also know that it will be extremely beneficial for all students to continue learning.  We hope to make this process as engaging and simple as possible.

i-Ready is a program that provides individualized instruction and practice for students in grades K-5 and our students are already very familiar with navigating the instruction and practice for both Math and Reading.  It is recommended that students work in the program for 45 minutes per week.  For your convenience, the 45 minutes can be broken down into smaller chunks that make it accessible and easy for your child to complete.

To access your child’s i-Ready account please follow these steps:

  1. Go to the APS webpage at www.auburn.k12.ma.us
  2. Click on the ‘Students & Families’ tab in the top right
  3. Under ‘Logins and Tools’ click on ‘ClassLink’
  4. Once in ClassLink use your child’s log in, located below
    • Your child’s username is: First Initial + Last name + year of graduation --   jdoe20 for example
    • Your child’s password is: First initial (capitalized) + last initial (not capitalized) + student ID # + !!  -- Jd12345!! for example

ClassLink will give you access to many of the programs we utilize during the school day.  Students may explore the programs available but we hope they will focus their efforts on i-Ready Math and Reading.

Due to the heavy use of student iPads over this past year, we are unable to provide students with a device to use through the summer.  This will allow us to update and repair all devices in preparation for next school year.  If your child does not have access to a device, please pick up a paper Math packet of work for your child at your child’s school.

Thank you for your continued support of the Auburn Public Schools and we wish you a wonderful, and sun-filled summer.

Yours in Education,

Jennifer Stanick
