Dear Parent or Guardian:

We are pleased to inform you that Auburn Public Schools was notified on October 17, 2024 that we were approved to implement a program available to schools participating in the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Programs called the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). This was also discussed during the recorded school board meeting on September 4th 2024. What does this mean for you and your children attending the schools?

Great news! All enrolled students of Auburn Public Schools  are eligible to receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at school at no cost to your household each day of the school year. Your children will be able to participate in these meal programs without having to pay a fee or submit a meal application.  Children who would like to have a second meal, snacks, or beverages will have the opportunity to purchase them or utilize the money on their account. If your child(ren)'s account has a balance at the end of the year those balances will roll over to the next year or you may request a refund.

If you have any questions about this letter, please contact me at bpulver@auburn.k12.ma.us

Sincerely,

Brianne Pulver
Food Service Director
